My Philosophy of education ![]() |
I believe that the purpose of schooling is to prepare students to be contributing members of our society. Children are learning every minute of every day through their interactions and the people they are surrounded by. Academics are of supreme importance, but the children’s ability to learn to communicate and function in a society begins in the classroom. For some children elementary school is the first time that they have been in a social environment outside of their homes. I believe children are the future of our society. They are future electricians, accountants, politicians and engineers. These children can be anything that they set their mind to. As a teacher, it is my job to introduce them to all of the possibilities that are available to them and help them strive toward their goals I believe teachers provide a moral guide in the classroom. They set a tone for kindness, manners, respect, and inclusion. They are role models for the students. They must relate to children from a wide variety of backgrounds, including disadvantaged children, children from other cultures, children who speak a different language, and children with learning differences. They must be able to bridge the gaps so that learning may take place. They must have expertise in their subjects and be passionate about them. An animated, enthusiastic teacher can ignite the passion for learning.
